It feels like it is nearing peak pessimism at the moment for Infratil, being hit on two fronts (DeepSeek spooking anything to do with AI, data centre capacity being questioned, and changes to renewbale policy in the US, and how that may spread globally), general weakness in the NZ economy may also be playing a part, but I am less convinved on that. If you factor in all the companies in Infratil's portfolio that are affected by the above two recent events / themes it amounts to around 8.25B NZD or 60% of the NAV, which speaks to recent weakness in my mind.
Data Centres
CDC - 5.2B
Kao Data - 567m
Renewables
Longroad Energy - 1.98B
Galileo - 245m
Gurin - 246m
Mint - 16m
Total = 8.25B~
I'll be keeping an eye on the NAV in the next report to see what happens to any of the companies indpendent valuations. I am also interested to see if we get any insider buying as the share price approaches a yearly low.
