Affirm has vast amounts of capital and retains alot of equity in its Balance Sheet. ZIP spent everything it raised without ever getting a return on it and has to finance everything it does at significant cost. Affirm has a lot of institutional backing and a small shareholder register and it also lends at high interest rates, which not only brings in a lot of revenue, it also creates a fair size margin. It competes with others for the big national retail chains for exposure and has recently opened up in the UK.
