    It's all based on political ideology from certain heads at the top of the union movement.

    These leaders, hold on to a reactionary leftwing ideology that was
    forged in the 80s, also in the wake of Chernobyl.

    This is Steve McCartney, Secretary of the WA chapter of the AMWU. He is one of a few powerful kingmakers of Roger Cook.

    Steve is vehemently opposed to uranium mining. And will never give his permission for Roger to lift the ban.
