The old samples were not core samples, they were rocks collected in the 1950s by a few prospectors with a map.

So the area was never drilled until azure drilled it recently.

There were no rocks collected from raidens ground in the 1950s, nor it mapped.

Raidens ground was never drilled and I doubt azure looked at it.

Raidens ground was held by Mr North.

We do not know if azure approached Mr North or not.

Just because raiden got it, does not mean the ground was no good to azure for various reasons.
