Well, I am really perplexed at many companies' managements and BODs.

They want to make lots of money for themselves and maybe even for their shareholders as an afterthought.

Some of these people even own quite a few shares of the company themselves (Unfortunately most paid little or nothing for them and they have 'no skin' in the game so to speak).

So why can they get it through their brains that there is a direct connection between the amount of information, how it is released, and the share price?

One would think that after all these years the people at AZZ and other companies would finally understand that simple correlation.

They want to see that $1.00 share being printed on AZZ: release information so as to get get of uncertainty.

Even in AZZ people can see how information affects the price: they went into a trading halt for a long time to 'reduce speculation and rumours' (HA HA HA) about the sale.

IMO all it did was tick people off especially when one company official was out 'spreading the word' and it INCREASED speculation and uncertainty.

Then they released a missive filled with 'noncents' about why the sale price was not over $10k or even near $12K for other similar transactions (And then not even close to the other wild estimates here on HC). Were people surprised? IMO the simple answer is yes: share price slumps.

Next these genious types never even bothered to make an announcment that the transaction was complete or about any possible adjustments to the deal. We had to rely on a supposed phone call and the subsequent posting of that information on HC (Which caused the shares to shoot up to 44.5 cents and then resume their downward move.)

Or how about the nifty share buyback? IMO a total stuff up.

I can't ever remember seeing one announced weeks before it is to begin.

The company appears to have approached a major shareholder to buy back their shares (Now how did they know they wanted to sell in the first place???) who tells them to basically get stuffed.

So shareholders endure days and weeks of unrelenting selling and see the shares back around 36 - 37 cents.

So until AZZ gets their act together, gets some information out to the market about their JV with Petrohawk so that people can start to actually apply some numbers, and its plans for the use of its cash, the shares IMO aren't going anywhere.

And all this 'noncents' about letting the shares fall so that they can get them a little cheaper, well that is about the silliest stuff around.

Ever heard of goodwill and reputations? That action sure isn't making friends with many holders seeing their shares fall 10 - 20% so the company can save a couple of hundred thousand dollars. You know that saying: "Penny wise......."

So if and when these people get their act together, put some stuff on the table, then it may be an investment to look at.
