I've got to disagree with you Flabert and Drillinto.

'Kenya' is a cheap way of getting a lot of land. Much cheaper than other African companies. As for staying away because of corruption, I say all the more reason to go ;) and it looks like some of the worlds largest companies don't mind either!

Another question is what size projects do companies like BHP, Vale, Coal India develop? Answer: only very large ones!

As for port allocation, no doubt port infrastructure will be upgrades by the time coal is exported/if it is exported. No doubt financing will be plentiful especially if the big boys are onboard.
