I'm still somewhat baffled as to why another small-mid cap miner does not offer AAU ~$30M today and take everything... essentially buying $500M++ NPV of development-ready projects for pennies.... with a decent runway beyond NS and LD to add even more value.
Maybe at this point we should consider actively selling ourselves and get some offers in the 1-2cps range? Given what holders have endured, and how much stock has turned over at the 0.4c-1c range over the last year, I honestly think 1.5-2c would get it done.
I take a company like LLL for example... cashed up and actively on the lookout for new projects. They'd have the cash to buy out AAU and put up the capex for NS. Possibly also enough for LD. Have 2 projects up and running fairly quickly. Essentially turn a $30M acquisition in to $500M+ NPV of operating projects 1-2 years later. Diversified gold/copper/silver/antimony. I would be a very happy shareholder.
Anyway... as a holder of both stocks, I can only dream
