PON spot price now at over USD 12 per pound and trending up.
In qtrs Jun-06, Sep-06, Dec-06, Mar-07 AUZ was producing nickel at operating cash costs in AUD per lb bewteen 6.75, 7.52, 10.67, 11.57 respectively. Today AUD is about same value as USD, but higher AUD today offsets much of the rise in POO since then.
What do posters say about PON needed to make AUZ nickel production profitable? Have to include some margin for capital costs and start-up costs. Also how many months would it take to re-start nickel production if management made this choice?
Nickel production would give AUZ much needed cash to pursue exploration opportunities.
