As for the Chinese commentary here; why is it racist to comment on how the Chines do business? They are the world's most acquisitive people and if there is a rainforest being plundered or a dodgy mine polluting the environment anywhere in Asia you can bet they are in there somewhere. Looking after number 1 is what they do.

Whether it would be good or bad that they take over BPT is a separate issue. Frankly, having sat on a $1.69 average for four and a half years I would be quite pleased if anyone would step in and give me my money back. If it could be someone who would care for those who work for the company and for the communities in which they do business then all to the good; but there is no sentiment in business. I will leave decisions about selling the farm to JG, Wayne Swan and mates. The way they are going there won't be much farm, left to sell soon anyway.
