Does this reduce the amount of generator capacity? Does this reduce greenhouse gas emissions? Does the feed-in tariff increase the overall cost of power to everyone else?

How could it reduce the provider's capital cost or fail to increase his operating costs? But if are were conscientious, and want to save the planet, shouldn't you have checked? And the sad part is that I seriously doubt it would be carbon positive. Only a greenie could come up with such a dumb scheme.
