Well, you would have to think that any process innovation developed by Richmond would be good news if it improves purity or recovery - same as the process innovations AVL has developed to improve their product, and which they are undertaking - at length, to come up with something innovative for Lumina. Otherwise why are they bothering?

And yeah, the Julia Creek vanadium is not the quality of the WA deposits - well known fact. But it is quite obviously worth extracting, otherwise nobody would be attempting to do so, or others to support it - heavily. As troy has repeatedly pointed out, the world wants as much as it can get, and as demand grows, production costs will become less of a factor. If the half-arsed concept of decoupling & ex-China supply chains actually occurs, Julia Creek & other lower quality vanadium deposits come more into play. Plus RVT are also looking at pit to electrolyte strategies - similar to AVL.

Without process innovation in mining, we’d still be digging with shovels and hauling with donkeys.

I was not knocking AVL - simply pointing out that RVT is reasonably advanced, seems cost conscious and may have a decent future. Same as AVL
