As per SwiftStatement Terms:Can I make our end of month payment to Capricorn through Spenda? Not at the moment. Spenda is designed to speed up and simplify the reconciliation of your Capricorn Statements. Invoice payments will still need to be made using your usual method.
Question:
So how are the Capricorn payments volume going through Spenda?
How is it Spenda can't take the payment?
I thought that was the whole point of Spenda?
Uptake guesstimate of Swiftstatement
From Capricorn 2024 Annual report:
E-statements
A more secure, more convenient and more
environmentally friendly way to provide Members
with their monthly statements. Offering Members
the option of digital statements, downloaded
via myCAP, means Members can now access
and review their statements online. Over 8,000
Members have already made the switch.
Easy access to key information can save hours for
Members in the office. Capricorn updated the
look and feel of myCAP to elevate the Member
experience, making navigation smoother and
information more accessible. The introduction of
credit card self-service payments and direct debit
self service provided Members with an increased
range of payment methods, saving them time inpaying their Capricorn Trade Account.
Using the data of let's say 8000 taking up the offer to receive digital statements:
I think its a fairly relevant metric (some will disagree) when looking at working out the possible Siwftstatement take up
Why?
It tells me around 25% of Caplink accounts are lets say into the digital side of things, the rest not so much
So that makes me think if you're then asking members to pay $99 month for an added service the uptake will be less than 8000 that wanted to go digital statements.
Why? Cost for one. Their willingness to be digital second.
Of those 8000
lets say a 30% are happy to "use swift statements at a cost each month" which to me would be quite an achievement
Puts the take-up numbers closer to 2400
Around 8% of total members which is probably realistic imo
Capricorn have 30,000 "Members" but they are also made up of suppliers side and old members of Capricorn that are retired but still use the system and membership for benefits and share dividends
So guess what i'm guesstimating is that is in my opinion take-up of SwiftStatement will be 10% of accounts initially at best
I'm sure more will come on board after some time and reviews by other members
