We should start from the position that any and all corporations will shaft us (for their own benefit) if given half a chance. Look at the guy from Wisetech, look at Ellison from Minres and his brother. I had taxis in Brisbane years ago and was ruined by Uber. Still have one licence in Brisbane. Story in today's SMH 15 February and also will be the subject of a 60 MINUTES tomorrow night. The SMH article is entitled "Nation's biggest taxi firm exposed in rorting claims" it failed to stem rampant rorting of passengers and government organizations. So why wouldn't they also rort owners like me?
The leaked documents from A2B, which also owns 13cabs, Silver Service and Cabcharge as well as providing payment and booking services for taxis across Australia, detail explicit warnings to the firm's top executives that failing internal controls had enabled "eye watering" fraud for years.
So why you somehow believe CAY would be any different amazes me. Jobs for the boys, money for this and that without a detailed account of how that money was spent are all just perks of the corporate scene these days, an entitlement if you will. Cynical? You betcha. We are dealing with crooks, crooks and more crooks. Time for me to get back to my stamps and coins. Denial isn't just a river in Africa.
