I'm not aware of any company to my knowledge that can transition from extracting one metal, to "potentially" any other with value on the periodic table overnight.
With prior test work/recovery done, all they would have to do is source the feedstock, make the correct chemical/temperature adjustments to the plant and we are once again in production on whatever metal is in fashion at the time.
Hydrometallury and pyrometallurgy plants generally are calibrated and built expensively to extract large quantities of metals from one particular source, so can't replicate our business model.
