This is the crux of it: what does iron ore do in the next 12-18 months. Everything else, including all the bad governance, is just noise*. Chris has bet the balance sheet on Onslow. At the moment the IO outlook is pretty bearish, with BHP comments yesterday, Simandou coming online, etc. but IO seems to be holding up for now. But for me that’s all that matters here.
*from a forward-looking perspective, I mean. Unfortunately it was noise that likely led some funds to materially reduce exposure based on the ‘G’ in ‘ESG’, which hasn’t helped the share price support.
