Exactly, and that’s why today’s announcement was never going to move the needle. It’s a pretty transparent attempt at encouraging investors to take part in the SPP. Anyone with half a clue can see it for what it is; a bit of a nothing-burger, but they need to do whatever they can to prop the SPP, because if it goes undersubscribed, sentiment will get even worse.
