Yes, I think generally they are too slow to pick up on a rising star and I don't normally hold many of their recommendations. I do however value their research on companies, although the small caps I like are often not covered by analysts but their financial health ratios are worthwhile.

Re Spark, maybe it is too much like Telstra. The promised yield was the attraction, the capital loss I thought was already behind it.
Oh well. TLX saved today's portfolio result from being too ugly.
