Yes, we were fascinated by the cloud seeding in our '60's geography classes, but that's a very localised and cost intensive process.
SRM looks as though it could be in the future mix, but only as a last resort if things really start to get away from us - it seems to pose as many risks as benefits. Would be like taking a painkiller to cure a degenerative hip - it'll work for a while, but the dose will need to be increased to the point of killing the patient if the hip isn't cured.
I don't think you are suggesting SRM was the cause of the recent chill in the US or cloud seeding the cause of snow in Saudi Arabia.
What are your thoughts on the speed reduction in the sub polar vortex? Seems very plausible to me as a non-scientist.
