Of course some part of the market will be short sold. but I'd image that's because those people are of a view that the stock is over valued?! That sort of % short is not unusual.
anyway, maybe people should reflect on valuation rather than just throw out this evil shorters narrative. it just comes across as an excuse rather than reflecting that you may have overpaid for your investment.
