The rise stated on 20th Feb.
Short positions by dates:
17th February: 10.24%
18th February: 10.76%
19th February: 9.96%
Let’s see how it looks tomorrow, but from what we can see, the day before the 30% rise (on the 20th) short interest started to drop.
If we see a sudden drop in open short positions tomorrow and the day after, then we will know the rise is a result of shorts covering.
