Personally, I don't think anyone cares about a CEO announcement. The CEO is meant to be the Chief Strategy Implementor. And it is clear RW is the only one with the vision, strategy and the know how. I think having a child will calm him down a bit too.
I would like to see RW on the call, taking control and announcing new ideas / services / strategy, and just heads down.
