What you say is true but there are problems in this "dog eat dog" world where were many (e.g Trump) feel that they can "win one over their neighbours.
1. There will be "winners and loser"; those at higher latitudes (eg. Russia, Canada, Northern Europe etc) will be winners (i.e frozen/cold areas will become habitable - I'm from the UK originally and used to think it would be quite nice to "up the anchor on the country" and drift down to Portugal)
2. Australia is the world worst in terms of industrial counties on an emmissions/capita basis but many like to only quote emmisions and aviod resposibilty on a per capital basis.
3. The BRICS country emission (on an absolute basis) have gone through the roof but high/capita emmitters avoid this number but export rtheir emission to BRICS countries and forget that we are sidestepping our own emissions
4. The BRICS countries like to make us historically responsible for our past emissions; I really don't feel responsible for a history prior to my birth and in any case with a 40 - 50 year half life most historic emissions have now gone.
5. Potential solutions (e.g hydrogen)are highly inefficient thrmrally and due to high flame temperature produce NOx emmisins which are worse than CO2
6. We all want (and need) stable electicity supply - this implies nuclear - greenies have ideological objections and stop a practical solution to stable, safe and affordable power
7. Electricity is only about 40% of emission - we are doing little about this none electrical source.
8, Some (USA, Russia, India, Indonesia) are not prepared to do much; this implies to others why bother
9. Terms like "climate crisis" exaggerate the problem - our standard of living is most important and more immediate - we have air-conditioning.
Overall a pretty dim picture - be prepared to head south (or north) and let the tropics fry.- the underlying problem really is population by we (and particularly the religious) will not entertain remedial measures
