In light of the News/information recieved by Cougar Energy and the somewhat uncertainty for Carbon in this news, I'd have to say that Carbon Energy is holding up better than I would have expected today!

In Cougars defence (Albeit after the horse has bolted)

As I think I mentioned once on a cnx thread I'm sure I read somewhere where there can be naturally occuring seepage of benzene into ground water just as there is natural seepage of oil into the worlds oceans in fact (over 80 million gallons a year!) seeps out from vents in the earth into the ocean.

While oil seepage occurs naturally and the worlds oceans deal with millions and millions of gallons of oil every day, there is good reason to be concerned with the addition of 35,000 to 60,000 barrels of oil each day off your coast line as was the case with the BP Gulf of Mexico Spill 2010 an oil slick covering 6,500 square kilometers, now this is something to be concerned about, but if the ocean can deal with naturally occuring seepage of over 80 million gallons a year (yes not put there by man) then don't you think that one this benzene could possibly be naturally occuring and two minuscule in comparison to this phenomenon?

If Carbon, Cougar and anyone in the Qld Government (Kate Jones) are reading this thread, then I want them to either ask the question or answer why was it that Arrow Energy only several weeks ago was not shut down due to contaminants (Benzene, Toulene etc...) found in several of their monitoring bores? Instead it's all gone away and nothing mentioned again!!! It's a joke and it smells of corruption to me and if it's not what is it??

    Cheers
    Long Term Future
