Where I built I had to comply with zoning laws that would not allow me to build on land higher up upon my hill as it was zoned 7a,soil protection, as it was susceptible to land slip over the clay base.
Can't understand why the same logic does not apply to flood prone land.
Typical Local Government,rules for one and not for the other.
