    Well said gupper.

As for the ?political divide" that is apparent in here. I have many friends who are on the opposite (my being a traditional Labor supporter) and find most, but not all, to be on the generous side of things at a personal level. However they seem to get funny buzz noises in their head when government finds the need to tax them. Some of them can become highly irrational; witness the many outrageous illogical arguments/statements that have been made on this thread. What is more, a lot of them are hypocrites. Take the farmers for example. Any transfer of income via government to anyone but themselves is seen as socialistic, even communistic, but when it comes their way in the form of drought or flood assistance, or a levy in their favour, for example then everything is honky dory. Other businesses also look for assistance, marketing etc. As far as I am concerned their attitude does not make the cut. They can rant and rave as much as they like, their bluster floats over my head; as it should with any rational logical thinking person.
