Rules for adult Off-Label use are:
The member must have tried and failed, or have a contraindication or intolerance to, Jakafi®
(ruxolitinib) when age appropriate per FDA labeling.
The provider must attest to providing clinical outcome information within the appropriate provider portal as requested by Blue Cross or BCN.
RUX fails 40% of the time, so lots of opportunties for off-label use.
I think FDA still needs to sign off on some marketing requirements and SI is saying sales may begin by the end of March. I think FDA needs to sign off on Mesoblast's clinical outcome information plan. Should not be a biggie. They are almost ready to start the engines.
