Calcipotriol , the product being used in the control arm of the Coramsine psoriasis trial has some interesting stats . I googled it and came up with a drug known as Dovonex , approved in 2001 as a topical psoriasis treatment and achieved sales of $US126 million in 2002 . This drug has some rare side effects of elevated blood calcium , which tends to limit the dose . It is prescribed for mild psoriasis , which is 2% to 10% of skin area effected . Limitations which I do not think apply to the Coramsine cream . Meaning Coramsine can try for a much wider market .
