Are you serious - how about Taiwan? Maybe just a few recent examples: 1. South China sea and expanding territorial claims impacting many countries 2. ~2010 when China lent on Japan and pulled RE exports after an incident 3. China has systematically hacked the west since the early 2000s, and benefitted their own companies (whilst this is normal for states to hack, it is not normal for the benefit of its companies so overtly). Lynas itself has been victim to CN influence operations trying to influence the companies activity directly.
The poster is saying western governments havent done enough and is spot on. As the US continues towards isolationist, this will start a trend that will change western government inaction in my opinion.
