I believe, cynically, that the ASX would have some concern about asking questions simply because it is clear manipulation by short sellers has been enabled by the ASX itself! It is blatantly obvious that the trading platform, that provides for special trading privileges for certain traders can only lead to share price manipulation.
The ASX has an opportunity in this instance to establish who are the traders responsible for this blatant manipulation. It should suspend trading in the company and undergo a forensic examination of the trading today, even if it takes the next few days to complete that analysis.
If on the other hand the ASX puts out a Letter to CU6 seeking questions about today's trading then it is further proof of its lack of responsibility wrt to providing what should be a balanced and fair trading platform.
