What is cheap? What is your timeframe for the takeover?
Today was a day when a lot of stocks went down. We have been this low before, it is just another day in the fluctuations of the share price. Nothing more in my view.
End points are over a month away at least, which is like a lifetime in the current political climate, and the new indications could be even longer. Phase III will see us all a year older.
I have ratcheted up takeover talk before but I just don't see it currently. Getting fast track designations is nice but not concrete enough to instigate a takeover of note in the near future. if there is someone out there looking hard at Neuren, they will let Neuren finish the hard lifting before stepping in. You could possibly argue it would be foolhardy to handover lots of money for a phase II drug at present and it is better to see what unfolds with the FDA shake up, drug pricing, Kennedy and Doge.
i think those offers that underwhelmed Gerry were cheeky low ball bids without any expectation and just to see if Neuren could be enticed. It wouldn't surprise me if Acadia has already tried their luck.
i think we have a lengthy wait on our hands.
