Claiming that AGY will hit 50c again just because it did once is about as logical as assuming it’ll drop back to 0.1c just because it touched that level before. By that logic, we should all be bracing for another failed plant, because hey, we've sure seen that one before!
If your grand “everything is a cycle” theory holds up, then buckle up—we’re headed straight for 0.1c town! But let’s be real, stock prices don’t move like a cuckoo clock, ticking predictably between past highs and lows. They can go up, down, sideways, or straight into the financial abyss, just like many once-promising startups that are now nothing more than cautionary tales.
Hitting 50c again? Honestly, it's as likely as a gold-plated unicorn tap-dancing on Wall Street. Last time around, the smoke and mirrors act had people believing in a bright future—before realizing the "pilot plant" was more of a paperweight and the so-called 2,000TPA commercial production plant was proudly rebranded as a "demonstration facility." It’s much easier to sell a dream when you don’t have a well-documented history of waking up in a nightmare. Once the audience has seen the magician fumble his trick, it’s tough to make them believe in his magic again.
And let’s not forget the company’s, uh, unique record on deliveries on all and sundry in the final stages, advanced stages, imminently-targetted time frames, etc. Failed plant? Check. Failed second plant? Double check. Gym and bakery? Wait… what? Unless they quickly start selling electricity generated by treadmills and mock-cream eclairs, I’m not sure how that was a great idea, although they already fired all the staff anyway. And after all that, they're still gearing up for another round of dilution, because why stop a bad habit now?
At this point, if AGY’s track record has taught us anything, it’s that they love making bold promises, waving an imaginary carrot, and delivering a big, steaming plate of disappointment - most aren't keen for multiple serves, but some of you are, and a few of us just can't look away from the show. Rinse and repeat, so I wouldn't be too excited about AGY's past repeating, but I do think you're correct about the cycle, and 0.1c will come again!
