Yes. I would say the share price is less relevant, but it is a factor. Other posters here may not agree with this, but the board has an obligation to table formal offers to shareholders and even if they recommend voting against the offer, there is a possiblity that shareholders accept it, because they feel like the premium to the shareprice is acceptable and they want to move on to the next thing. This requires a formal vote and a particuar % appoval which differs depending on the type of offer.
Provided the largest shareholders are aligned with the board on what they think a fair value is, we will be okay and any 'low ball' offer will simply be voted down and we move on. Keep in mind that any company wanting to make an offer wants a reasonable chance of sucesss so that's what is happening now. There has been discussions already but the feedback seems to be from Neuren that the board and large shareholders won't agree on the current terms and that they need to pay up for the "knock out" offer if they want to get in first before Phase 3 read out for PMS.
