I think on balance of probabilities that conclusion is correct (US DoD Security Concerns).

But, would also help non-military tech companies engage more seriously.

In case some readers here haven't noticed, President Trump (rightly or wrongly - it is what it is) is re-structuring toward Made In America not just as a stated preference but making it HARDER for outsiders to get a hearing inside the tent.

And specifically when it comes to technology - if you want to play in America you'd better be prepared to set-up and invest on American soil.
That's why the US has tapped TSMC and told them "you will be building a new manufacturing facility in America." (nearly completed I believe).

This is about building the American economy, building their technology and manufacturing base, and about controlling high-end tech that feeds into Defence systems.

Either Brainchip has read the writing on the wall or been told. Doesn't matter.

And all this without even addressing the list of reasons stated in the ASX release, chief among them - Aussies don't understand tech investment and therefore don't invest sufficiently in tech start-ups. Not just talking about retail - our institutional investors steer clear of tech until well into their growth phase.

Let's not be disputing that the move to a US stock exchange is the right move - it plainly is.

But what do they need to pull it off? and if it's so crucial why didn't they do it years ago?

As Manny100 said, our vote will be crucial - unless it will clearly benefit us shareholders we will vote "NO"

There is a lot that has to happen between now and voting day that will make us leap[for joy at the idea of re-domiciling, which brings us to the timing question - why didn't BRN do this last year or before?

    Two reasons:
    1. TRUMP has changed the decision from a luxury to a necessity.
    2. They weren't ready - need to be more engaged with the market and need a higher share price.

I am taking point 2 as being the crucial indicator that BRN is ready to start making solid market traction.

We don't have visibility on what engagements are getting near to pay-day.

I assuming they know what's coming-up in the next 6 to 12 months and are confident that the results will support re domiciling making it easy for us to vote "YES"

BUT - do I know for sure? - No, of course not.

However, the alternative theory ("We can't sell our tech, maybe listing in the US will make it easier?") - doesn't make sense.
