So what do you think this means? I'm puzzled why a share buy back would encourage more shorts to be taken out. I'd have thought it was the opposite.
Unless taking out shorts is a way to push the price down? i.e. if there is some pressure for the price to increase due to SBB then to compensate for this they add more shorts?
