Good points. And if you're legitimately trying to make money from shorting, then shorting at $14 means at $12 you're only making $2 a share. Seems hardly worth the risk. You'd think you would be wanting to see a much bigger potential share price drop on the horizon to make it worthwhile.Considring the level of potential upside for Neuren from here it seems madness to be shorting Neuren.
Which comes back to my previous conclusion that the increasing shorts have little to do with making money from shorting Neuren.
What is UBS average buy and sell price over the last 1 or 3 months? Are they making or losing money on their trading?
