Since I am an old dude, I started with the likes of Prechter's Elliott Wave Theorist and probably my second book was Wilder's "New Concept's In Technical Trading Systems".
Wilder had also the Parabolic stop and reverse and DMI, both of which I use.
I actually got it wrong about MACD as that wasn't his.
Both Prechter and Wilder were revolutionary back 30 years ago.
Perhaps the DeMark aspect will lose favour as it becomes better know just as the former gurus did.
It seems new concepts work till everyone gets on board.
It has to be as the majority can never be in control.
