As is almost every choice or alternative in life , there is the ' Carrot ' ...., or the ' Stick ' approach. So Trump seems to be taking the latter approach with the end game still being the attraction for producing anything ( or certain things at least ) coming back to America. And that seems to be on paper regardless of whether you're a Chinese Company or not. Either way , the USA is miles behind right. So in a way , maybe that is what he means by stating that China will pay.
And that strategy if correct is seemingly against odds and polar opposite to that of Canada where they are locking them out. And of course the Canadian Opposition leader Pierre Poilievre seems more ' Trumpiene ' ( in a french way ) , than Trudeau.
Lets see how it ends up playing out , because he's already done a couple of back flips with regards to Canadian tariffs.
