Perhaps merely just a case of thinking out loud as a form of active problem-solving and idea formation rather than waffle ! From someone who often finds herself thinking out loud I see no issue at all with that from here . In your observation of institutional investment and portfolio management and index entry and exit listings I think however what you may have identified is an example of how information could be better collated by the administering body particularly. Perhaps less focus on Gross short positions and improved focus and disclosure of overall Net positions in situations where both long and short positions are administered by same name holders and managers.

On all things closer to CU6 though - I wrote a while back on how I assigned a trading valuation using remunerations options and treasury notes and bond yields as a base line. Whereas the SP decline from September 2024 to January 2025 was, I still believe, in some part also due to rising yields, during a time where U.S. 10 Year Treasury Notes topped out at about 4.8% in early January, a continued depreciation of SP whilst yields have also tapered to is however for me of greater concern. Perhaps purely a case of market forces and a wide variation of opinions which helps fuels volatility which I think is normal when valuing an intangible assets but from where I sit something is missing. Not sure what, do no study the science or fundamentals. Hope I am wrong though and that when we all wake up Monday AM with the market wide volatility of the last few weeks behind us that CU6 can form a new forward moving base.
