This is where the whole thing is inconsistent, was he sacked, was he within the period of offer but not signed , was the offer to go still being negotiated, was the offer outright rejected what is the fact? The announcements don’t make it clear - just that there is confusion.
To be frank I don’t care at this level it shouldn’t be exit by public opinion while the company tanks.
