My personal opinion, is that there has been alot of posturing and political games been played by all parties involved. All trying to get what they want and what suits them best. In the end, we have a Federal election coming up very shortly. The Government isn't going to let its second largest private hospital provider just suddenly stop operating or at least their hospitals stop operating. It would be political suicide.
Do I know the exact ins and outs of how it will get resolved? NO. Is healthcare property becoming more valuable? YES Does Australia need more healthcare facilities? YES Are there other hospital operators that could use HCW facilities? YES Do i think over the long term, HCW Healthcare facilities will be occupied? YES Do I think, during my investment horizon (5yrs+), HCW will be worth more? YES
While the answers to these questions are still YES. I will stay invested. That's my investment thesis for HCW anyway. I'm happy to listen to others thoughts and will change my thesis if I feel it necessary.
Im sure others can come up with a bunch of other questions, where the answer is NO. But thats your investment thesis, not mine.
Im happy to keep holding and potentially buy more.
