The point is that despite some holders being unhappy no change has been made to date.
If you try to make change and fail then it would be remiss not to weigh up whether continuing to hold is feasible.
The performance of the CEO is judged by the BOD. If they decide to replace the CEO then we move on under new leadership.
If no change at the top is made then unhappy holders would question the competence of the BOD and would be again remiss not to seriously consider whether they continue to hold.
The question remains why would holders continue to hold if they are unhappy with business performance and evidently have been holding for years? The anomaly of this is that holder's who allegedly see an incompetent BOD and CEO bring their own competence into question.
Most investment advisors would suggest that it is pretty well personally irresponsible to hold in these circumstances.
