Jeanluc - I read your post from a few days ago. All the "questions" you raise have been raised ad infinitum by you before and any supporting responses you've received seem to make you think your conspiracy type views have a bit of substance.
You can't seem to accept the Board of SLR undertook extensive and detailed inquiries about RED (and presumably other gold miners as well) before initiating the takeover which they would have viewed as long term beneficial for their shareholders. The longer term view they undoubtedly took would have calculated the short-term cost and the long-term opportunity of hedges in place/hedges maturing (though I doubt the Board would have forecast the gold prices popping up to where it is now when they did those calculations).
One doesn't need to be an "insider" to have a view about this - anyone who has been investing in equities markets more than five minutes would have seen, perhaps many times, how these things tended to unfold in the past (and, of course, there have been instances where shareholders have been stung). Traders trade sometimes quite small pips in a share-price to make a dollar. Fair dinkum Investors take a longer-term view and the astute ones diversify their investments over a number of stocks so that they're not wholly dependent on the success of just one business.
