I'll stick my head out and say I think this could be a period of underperformance for the company. I'm no permabear, I really thought they were turning it around (per this:
https://hotcopper.com.au/posts/75339030/single) but I think there could be a very real impact on the operations of the business seeing a well-regarded CEO forced out of the business. It seems astonishing that the Chair can behave like this but as others have shown, the board are all very closely connected so it's hardly independent, hence the power the Chair wields. I'd expect there will be a real impact on operations, despite HotCopper posters suddenly pivoting from "Swami is great" to "Swami needed to go".
PolyNovo share price is down 34% over the past 5 years (even using the Covid low as a starting point, which is being kind) and I suspect the fact they're looking for their 3rd CEO across this period has a lot to do with this.
