I am certainly not a chartist, we well could be oversold from a technical point of view, I prefer to put my energy into understanding the business itself and what its doing instead of worrying about the SP.
And to somewhat answer your question on a buy back, this would also depend on how DC views the business as well. I would argue he is more concerned about setting up the conditions for the business to succeed practically.
To the dismay of many here, that means to some degree potentially putting the SP as a concern on the back burner. Growing and progressing the business and its assets to where it stands on its own 2 feet with a sustainable product model means that the SP will follow that success. DC knows this, he knows and understands that in order to be successful you have to build something. That's his primary concern in my opinion, and I cannot find anything to suggest to the contrary.
With that said, considering a buy back, it would all depend on if that decision leads to an outcome that furthers that goal.
As I see it, I think it would in fact do the opposite, a buy back would require expending capital, all to appease a group of SHs that are running around like their heads are chopped off and the sky is falling. To which you have to take into consideration, for how long?
A buy back might give the SP a rise for a time, but if the current conditions that are leading to its slump continue beyond that period, what have you really gained?
Consider what might occur if a buy back didn't have the desired effect.
Does that mean another CR is required? When right now we have enough cash to deal with what we face, if we use some of that cash to buy back shares for a temporary salvo, does that put us into a more precarious position in the future?
I strongly believe that DC is doing what is in the best interests of SHs over the long term, even if some of them cannot/will not/do not see it that way.
There is a bigger picture here than what value is currently assigned to the SP.
