have being watching the screen during increased activity.
perhaps the small bot trades can push the price around.
they would have some effect; but that much?
where is the evidence to suggest that bot trades will convince a lot of largish holders to relinquish their holding in the face of, what could rightfully be considered, respectable, no-brainer, fundamentals?
not saying that such psychology wouldn't work, but it seems more than a bit risky to me.
the impression that i got from watching, was that it was intentional (purposeful) heavy selling that pushed the price down.
if you read the misleading headline that "molycorp doubles production", did you sell?
did the citi report make you panic and sell? (then did you pick the local bottom and rebuy?)
do bot trades make you lose confidence?
