I think that the word "tirade" is in the eye of the beholder. Your tirade is my reasonable discussion and vice versa.That's something we just have to live with. Are you suggesting that we shouldn't talk about Israel or Jews if the opinions offend others? If so then bad luck, there are more than enough restrictions on free speech already.
I didn't see any comments as all black/white. These are just simple observations made with the implicit understanding that not all X are Y, stereotypes are just that i.e.. contain an element of truth but are a small part of a much larger story etc. We don't have time, energy or space to write a detailed and nuanced history of the topic under discussion so this is the best we can do.
