The reason that Tesla is being knocked off the perch happened before he banrolled Trump (with benefits) and the stats prove that.
Tesla has a first up advantageous start in that it was first to offer EV that were stylish and appealed to middle class professionals.
Then along came China with its "Made in China '25" and a raft of Chinese EVs led by BYD, Great Wall, MG etc with a better price/product mix....so much so that in the past year both USA and the EC have had to put prohibitively high import tariffs on Chinese EV to protect their respective domestic manufacturing.
Its ironic now that the EC is whinging about Trump putting similar import tariffs on EC imports to the USA include ng automobiles!!!!!!
The message here is: If you live in a glasshouse then dont throw stones!!!!!!
