Putin plays chess, The Trump Administration - checkers (no pun intended). Ukraine will take longer than the market is currently factoring in, and if Putin succeeds in retaking the Kurst region incursion, I expect he won't settle for anything but all of the territory East of the Dnieper & Desna rivers, after all that is where the vast of the resources are said to be and where the majority ethnic Russians (Blue) vote for the Pro-Moscow candidate. After all, the etymology of the word Ukraine in Russian is "The boundary or edge".
Putin will not give up the pro-Russian part in my view.
