If the deal is so underwhelming then why haven't shareholders bought more? Why are shares in SPR being traded everyday?
Shareholders will either take the profits as they nearly always do or kick back and enjoy the combined entity.
Aren't all scenarios like this - a done deal? Key shareholders locked up and a 20% RMS stake. This merger happening wasn't hard to pick - if a large company wanted SPR why would they be waiting?
The good news for SPR is they still get access to the upside from the project whilst being in a company spinning out massive profits.
