First, retail investors are selling. As a group, retail investors tend to be less educated and less successful in the stock market. They are generally worse at understanding the true value of a business compared to professional investors.If retail investors are selling, that means someone is buying - and that someone is a group of professional investors. I'd better follow pro investors.
Secondly, there was very strong buying after the announcement in February. This was definitely unexpected and highly positive in the long term, as professional investors see the business growing.
